A study based on data from 2012 to 2014, suggests on average almost 58 hundred children in the United States receive medical treatment in an emergency room each year for a gun-related injury. About 21 percent of those injuries are unintentional. According to the study, which was published in the journal Pediatrics on Monday, almost 13 hundred kids died annually from a gun-related injury in the US from 2012 to 2014. The District of Columbia and Louisiana had the highest rates of child firearm deaths.
