Clauvino da Silva, the convicted drug dealer who tried to escape prison by dressing as his teenage daughter, has died. Prison officials in Brazil reported his death, saying that da Silva appeared to have hanged himself in his cell. The 42-year-old Silva was a leader in Brazil’s Red Command drug organization. He had been serving a 73-year drug trafficking sentence in a Rio de Janeiro prison. Officials say they’re launching an investigation into his death.
