Forward Chris Bosh will miss the remainder of the 2014-15 season because of blood clots on his lung, the Heat announced on Saturday.
Bosh experienced flu-like symptoms and was sent home from practice Wednesday. He was admitted to a hospital with reports of the blood clots on his lung emerging Friday morning. Heat coach Erik Spoelstra previously said that Bosh’s condition is not expected to be life-threatening.
With the Heat this season, Bosh averaged 21.1 points and 7.0 rebounds in 35.4 minutes per game.
