Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo broke a bone in his back during a preseason NFL game on Thursday night. An MRI revealed that the injury was much more serious than previously anticipated and coach Jason Garrett said the injury will keep Romo out of a large portion of the 2016 season. Garrett said, “We’re confident that he’s going to be coming back and playing football for us this year,” but no timetable was given for when Romo might return. Romo has already undergone a series of back surgeries in 2013.
