Dr. Dre Finally Speaks On Suge Knight’s Arrest From The ‘Straight Outta Compton’ Movie Set
Five months after the deadly hit and run, Dr. Dre is finally expressing himself about the murder charge his former Death Row Records business partner is facing.
As Suge Knight waits behind bars for the start of his murder case, his fellow Death Row records co-founder opened up to the Hollywood Reporter about the deadly Jan. 29 incident on the set of a trailer shoot for the upcoming N.W.A. biopic “Straight Outta Compton.”
“I was there. But I was just leaving, so I didn’t know what happened until I was halfway home,” Dre told the movie trade publication.
“I heard about it over the phone. Everybody was supportive everywhere we went, and we didn’t have one issue throughout the entire filming of the movie. It’s crazy that this happened during the f-ing filming of the commercial.”
