Straight from the South, Alabama beat maker KD, cites 9th Wonder, Jake One, Kanye West, Pharrell & Timbaland as his many inspirations. Known for flipping samples, KD has grown into his own sound, which he calls the “Ride & Flow” Experience.

What separates KD from most of today’s producers is not only his creativity and musical diversity, but his respect for the original intent of Hip Hop, which draws people deep into the music and understand its underlying message. “The producer’s job is to paint the environment in which the story is told, he says.

His new single, named after one of the legendary characters from the Spike Lee classic flick, Do The Right Thing, features lyrics from Cyhi The Prince, Young Fellz & Huey Ali.

KD is gearing up for his upcoming single collaboration with Young Fellz & the BX’s hip hop veteran Fred The Godson, entitled “Dreams”.
