A New Jersey man is in serious trouble with the law after they found him trying to smuggle a handgun into jail in his butt.
After police arrested 21-year-old Darquan R. Lee on a court warrant, he asked to use the bathroom. When police told him he would have to be patted down before and after, however, he decided he suddenly did not have to go.
That made police suspicious, so they told the local jail that they thought he might be hiding contraband.
A strip search revealed that Lee had stashed an entire weapon in his hind parts.
According to the media release, during a strip search at the Cumberland County Jail they found a .25-caliber automatic handgun “shoved in his anal cavity” and “between his butt cheeks,”
Unfortunately for Lee, not only was he trying to smuggle some serious contraband into jail, but the gun that was in his bum had been reported stolen in Alabama.
He now faces additional charges of possession of a weapon; unlawful possession of a weapon; certain persons not to have a weapon and receiving stolen property.
He is currently being held without bail.
