Morgan Freeman’s Granddaughter Stabbed 15 Times During Attack

The boyfriend of Morgan Freeman’s granddaughter stabbed her 15 times and was standing over her when police arrived Sunday morning, according to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.

Lamar Davenport, 30, stabbed 33-year-old Edena Hines in her back and torso, puncturing her heart, lungs and liver, assistant district attorney Nicholas Penfold said during his arraignment from Bellevue Hospital Wednesday afternoon.

“I f—ing love God!” he screamed after the attack on West 162nd Street at 2:54 a.m., according to sources. “Jesus Christ is my lord! I’m getting the demons out of her!”

Lamar was arraigned on second-degree murder charges via a video hookup before Judge Kevin McGrath in Manhattan Criminal Court.

“Yes, your honor,” Davenport was heard calmly saying to judge when asked if he consented to the video arraignment.

“This is a brutal murder with overwhelming evidence, where the defendant intentionally killed the victim,” Penfold said at criminal court.

Hines, an actress who appeared in Freeman’s recent movie “Five Flights Up,” lived with Davenport in Washington Heights.
