A New York Church is Compensating Victims Of Sexual Assault

The Archdiocese of New York is teaming up with influential lawyer Kenneth Feinberg to create an arbitration system for child victims of sexually abusive priests,. In this they will be providing an opportunity for compensation to accusers who are shut out from filing civil lawsuits by statutes of limitations. The Archdiocese it will be administered by Kenneth Feinbergwho has directed funds for victims of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks and other tragedies. While the church has already paid millions in settlements for others who have been cut off by statutes of limitations that pret they can now too be compensated or helped through the program.
