(Newser) – For nearly 10 years, OJ Simpson has called Nevada’s Lovelock Correctional Center home, the Reno Gazette-Journal notes. In July, however, Simpson may get a present just as his 70th birthday rolls around, depending on the results of a parole hearing the state’s Department of Corrections has announced will take place that month. The hearing date will be scheduled in mid-June, and it will be streamed live, per an NDOC spokeswoman. If Simpson is granted parole, he’ll still have to wait until October before he’s a free man: NBC News notes Nevada’s parole hearings usually come months before the release date.
