R&B Singer/Producer Kashif Found Dead at 56

The man who turned people like Whitney Houston, Evelyn “Champagne” King and Stacy Lattisaw into stars, Kashif, was found dead in his Los Angeles home on Monday, reports EURweb.com.

The Harlem-native earned multiple Grammys for not only his solo career but for producing hit songs like “You Give Good Love” for Houston and “I’m in Love” for King.

While little is known about the cause of death, the LA County coroner implied that he died of natural causes.

No matter, how it happened, the musical world has lost and icon and we celebrate him with this moment from the Unsung episode we dedicated to him.
