A new study by Cambridge University and Rand Corporation shows that equipping police officers does not necessarily reduce police use of excessive force, and suggests that the practice may actually backfire and increase violence against officers. But the study only looked at eight police departments in the US and UK, so is there more to the picture? To help answer that question, retired officer Ronald Hampton, now of the National Police Accountability Project, joins RT America’s Anya Parampil.
