Teen Arrested for Raping 9-Year-Old Girl He’s Been ‘Sexually Abusing Since 3’
A Maryland teen has been arrested after being accused of raping a 9-year-old family friend at a state fair.
Jonathan Fleming, 17, has been charged with rape after authorities took him into custody at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium. The victim’s father alerted police after he saw Fleming with his daughter.
The victim’s father was alerted to a potential problem by a farmer who saw Fleming with the young girl at the Swine Barn, according to police.
Investigators from the Crimes Against Children Unit are now saying that Fleming has been sexually abusing the girl since she was three years old, according to Daily Mail.
Police interviewed the young girl, who told them Fleming forced her into sex acts several times a year, typically at different state fairs. Fleming allegedly forced the girl to perform multiple sex acts before raping her.
The charges against Fleming include second degree rape, second degree sexual offense, perverted practice, fourth degree sexual assault and second degree assault.
Fleming is being held on $500,000 bond as authorities continue to investigate. Fleming could face additional charges.
