A Utica woman is facing felony charges for allegedly stabbing her hairstylist.
Cheryl Lynn, 20, has been charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon following a confrontation she had with a woman who styled her hair.
Last week, Utica police responded to Genesee and Grant Streets and found a woman suffering from stab wounds to her neck, shoulder and chest.
The victim told officers she was at a house party when Lynn approached her, accusing her of styling her hair poorly and saying she wanted her money back.
According to police the victim said when the women saw each other again later that night on the street they began fighting, and Lynn stabbed her three times.
